Beach reads are about to be the thing of the past until next summer comes around. So, what to read this last unofficial end of summer weekend?
The Irish Devil, a favorite of mine and a wonderfully happily ever after story.
Read about the Picts, the tribes of indigenous people who came before the Highlanders, in The King’s Executioner.
I love how hate turns to love in To Love a Highlander and love finally conquers all.
Each book is only $2.99, so if you haven’t read them, now’s your chance.
There is a non-fiction book I recently read which I enjoyed. The Lost Art of Doing Nothing… How the Dutch Unwind with NIKSEN by Maartje Willems and Lona Aalders. I think taking a break and doing nothing is actually a challenge. No reading. No TV. Just sitting and doing nothing. Summertime pairs well with my backyard for a time and place for me to do nothing.
Also, I shared this following link with my newsletter subscribers for 68 Easy Labor Day Recipes. You can make some recipes ahead of time and leave them in the fridge so your family can help themselves and you can sit and do nothing!
My Labor Day Weekend will be spent writing. It’s time to wrap the plot up, solve all the problems, and the mysteries and have a happily ever after!
Hope you have a relaxing holiday weekend.
Hugs
Donna
