This past week my writing has been on pause. I’ve been busy helping my son and his wife paint rooms in their recently purchased home.
It’s exciting to help them start a new chapter in their life, and though I had no time to write, that didn’t mean I wasn’t thinking about writing. As I rolled paint across ceilings and walls and patiently taped walls and trim to paint, my mind drifted to Ronan Sinclare’s story.
It’s time for him to come home. It’s time for Ronan to start the next chapter in his life. The steady, meditative pace of the painting helped me clear out some troubled spots with the plot line and character development, so the writing pause worked in my favor.
I’m looking forward to seeing my son and his wife settled in their new home… a new beginning surrounded by family and friends.
And that’s what I want for Ronan… a new beginning with family and with the woman he loves and fought endlessly to find.
